The City Museum

Nathan's family came to visit a couple of weeks ago, it was really nice to see them! We had all kinds of fun, including a trip to the city museum! For those of you who have been to the city museum, you know how awesome it is!

The museum used to be a huge shoe factory, now it is filled with slides, caves and lots of fun things to climb on and jump around on. There is a room full of skate board half pipes, that kids run up and down on, no skateboards allowed. There is a maze where the openings get smaller and smaller (not for those that are claustrophobic). Everything in the museum is recycled, from older buildings or even pans from restaurants that they turned into walls. We didn't get to play on all the fun stuff outside, because it was rainy and cold... we look forward to it next time!

Emma played for awhile in the toddler area, she liked the slide a lot.

And she really liked pushing this chair around. (who knows...)

Emma loved the food they had too!

We didn't take any pictures in the caves, they are super awesome. The caves are all man made, but it is super cool. There are all kinds of nooks and crannies to crawl around in. There is also a 3 story slide down there, that you have to hike up to the top of. A person could literally spend hours down there and not see all of the caves.

I went through the caves with these girls... Nathan's sister is among them. They made me go through spots I would never have gone through on my own, it was quite interesting.

We spent a large amount of time in one room, a room that people of all ages can enjoy... the sponge room! It is exactly what it sounds like, a room full of sponges.

All kinds of fun things can be built with these sponges.

We all had tons of fun!

We look forward to going again.

The kids loved being built into their own personal sponge house...

I find it hilarious that Emma's favorite parts were pushing the chairs around and playing with sponges...

We had a great time with Nathan's family and their friends that were with them.
